Today, Empath Action CIC turns one year old!
It’s incredible how fast the time has gone — but we’ve certainly packed a lot in.
From touring the libraries for our Wakefield Council funded Professors G and J in the Case of the Phantasmagorical Railway and Travelling Craftorium, to our work with the West Yorkshire Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund, and our brilliant community participation theatre event This Building Tells a Story, just to name a few of our many highlights–This year has been action packed, powerful and pretty amazing, to be honest!
And none of this could have happened without you.
That’s why we want to mark this day by saying: Thank you.
To every member of the public who has come along to the dozens of crafting workshops we’ve held, you have honoured us with your presence. To each of the hundreds of audience members we’ve had the privilege of performing for during our shows, you have added immeasurably to our story. And to the mountains of support we have received through donations of time, resources, and expertise, your kindness has meant that we have survived that always tricky first year, and that we will be able to keep serving our community for another 12 months.
We truly believe that through empathy and creativity, we can help walk alongside our Wakefield family as they take steps to be their kindest, bravest, and most creatively truthful selves.
In the next few days, we will be releasing details of our Winter programme, including some truly exciting news about our new projects, and we can’t wait to share it with you all.
In the meantime, and from the depths of our hearts:
Thank you for making Empath a home for so many people. You are incredible.
In Empathy,
Steven & Jo
