How We Support
Actors

Our actors are the lifeblood of what we do, and we are thrilled to have a growing family of creatives. We can help you in a number of ways.

Below are just a few examples of the work we do, but if you would like to get in touch to discuss your needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us at hi@empathaction.org

01

Getting You Back into Acting

We started Empath, in part, to help young creatives we know reconnect with their passion.

We gave our actors weekly workshops where we developed stories together, explored themes and created incredible support groups.

02

Developing Original Material

We have worked with young actors from Wakefield to co-create our own pieces

Together we have worked with actors and creatives to create pieces together that we are proud of, and then sort opportunities to perform them in theatres and cultural hubs across Wakefield.

03

Supporting Your Original Work

We are skilled at matching creative work with funding opportunities by connecting the dots on cultural messaging.

Getting theatre made requires funding. We have found a way to connect our shows and other creative pieces with funding opportunities that aren’t just from the arts sector, but are targeted at the wider Third sector. This means we can do two things at once: create innovative theatre and other creative outputs while engaging in social justice and helping increase wellbeing in the district.

04

Studio Space

Our actors can book out our studio space to record their own practice material or auditions.
